I-131-L Block Shield The shield is designed for facilities that prepare and distribute high-active 131I therapeutic doses. The shield provides excellent protection from beta and gamma radiation, and has a fully shielded floor. When standard shielding is used to store higher activity or for additional shielding, side shields or lead bricks can be used to form walls.
